Help/Boards

How posting on boards works

Posts are short — urgent questions, travel announcements, collaboration calls. Articles are the long-form lane.

Boards are the main direct-conversation space on Türkmen biz. Two kinds of content: short posts and long articles. They have different jobs.

Posts

A post is one or two paragraphs, attached to a category, written for a quick reaction from other members. The categories are:

  • Question — asking the network for advice
  • Just shipped — announcing a new piece of work, site, service
  • Looking for work — you're looking for a role
  • Hiring — you're looking for someone
  • Travel — you're heading to a city, open to meeting local members

Posts in the Travel category automatically email members who subscribed to that city for travel pings.

Articles

An article is the long-form lane. Thousand-plus words, fully developed thoughts, one topic seen through. A good tool when you want to pass on experience to the whole network rather than breaking it across many posts.

Articles can be in one of two states: draft (only you see it) or published (visible to the whole network). Start an article.

Comments and visibility

Both posts and articles take comments — other members can reply. If someone comments on your post, you get an email (you can turn this off in settings).
