Türkmen biz is built for two kinds of members: ones who're just browsing and ones who use the network all day. The profile-visibility toggle exists for exactly that — each member chooses how visible they want to be.
Public profile
A public profile is visible to everyone — even people who haven't signed in to Türkmen biz. Name, photo, headline, experience, all of it. This is the right setting if you want to be discoverable from outside the network too: search engines, shared links, screenshots.
Private profile
When your profile is private:
- Members see your full profile, exactly like a public one.
- Anyone not signed in sees your name in the directory blurred, with no way to click through. Your profile page is gated.
This is the "I'm here, but you'll need to be inside to see who" signal. A screenshot of the directory shows that Türkmen biz is real and has scale, but your details don't leak.
How to change it
Open Settings → Privacy. The first toggle is Public/Private. You can flip it as many times as you want — the change takes effect immediately.
A third mode: fully hidden
Sometimes a member wants to be invisible to everyone except admins — for example during a job change or a quiet period. We don't expose this in the UI today, but if you write the admin team we'll flip it manually. It's the right call if you want to step away from the directory without deleting your profile.
